JUNETEENTH FAMILY FEST will be held Saturday, June 17th, 2023, at Riverfront Park (North Charleston) from 3-10 PM.
Yes. No really, you do this year. Tickets are necessary for entry to ensure that we don’t overextend our capacity. This also helps with safety in the park. Without tickets, you will be denied access. Children over the age of 5 will need a ticket.
Riverfront Park is in North Charleston located on the former Charleston Naval Base, easily accessible from I-526 and I-26. Enter the former Charleston Naval Base by the McMillan Avenue gate or the Virginia Avenue gate and turn onto Hobson Avenue. Riverfront Park signs are visible for easy-to-follow directions.
Yes, you can bring lawn chairs, blankets, tents, and we suggest bug spray. We will have a designated tent area. We want y’all to be comfortable and relaxed.
Yes, we are allowing coolers this year. You can bring water and non-alcoholic beverages. Coolers will be checked upon entry into the park.
Yes, there will be both savory and sweet food vendors at Juneteenth Family Fest selling food and drinks!
No. You are not allowed to bring alcohol to Juneteenth Family Fest.
Children 5 and under are admitted without a prior registration! Children 6 and above will need a ticket.
Family is at the core of our Juneteenth celebration. We love the kids and have added a Kids Fest sponsored by Reagin Orthodontics to this year’s event. Bring them churn and allow em to experience our fireworks showcase at the end.
Our ancestors made it work and so will we. Juneteenth Family Fest is rain or shine. Da weatherman say it’s going to be hot so please plan accordingly and start getting hydrated now!
Yes, we will have law enforcement and security on-site at Juneteenth Family Fest. Our goal is to have a safe event that all of the family will enjoy. It takes a village, if you see something, say something immediately.
